a comprehensive medical and hospital insurance for the Toronto District School Board.
Eligibility
Foreign students enrolled in and attending a recognized institution of learning.
Pre-existing condition coverage
Yes, if consultation or treatment is not within 6 months prior to the commencement of insurance.
Eligible Medical Expenses
Emergency medical treatment for sickness or injury, whether in-patient or out-patient.
Follow - up Visits
No limitations.
Physician /Surgeon/Anesthetic - Yes.
Registered Graduate Nurse - Yes.
X-Ray Laboratory Examination - Yes
Eye Examination - Yes: one (1) visit in a twelve ( 12 ) month period
Ambulance- local/mountain/sea rescue
Maternity Benefits -Yes, provided the pregnancy commenced during the term of the insurance (childbirth and miscarriage not covered).
Travel Outside of Canada
Includes USA & Mexico as long as the majority of the period of the coverage 51% is spent in Canada, up to 30 days.
